Zion Lutheran Preschool provides the environment and experiences a preschooler needs to develop emotionally, physically, intellectually, socially and spiritually. To accomplish this we seek to foster a Jesus-centered atmosphere where love and learning thrive and where joy and faith flourish. We happily offer programs for three year olds and four-year olds. We have a morning class that meets Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 8:00 to 11:00 a.m. and an afternoon class that meets Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 12:30-3:30 p.m.
Zion Lutheran Preschool is pleased to introduce its new director Amy Blackwell and Assistant Melanie Enenbach. Amy grew up in Manilla and has made her home here in Manning with her husband Matt and their 3 children, Brynli, Hayden, and Harvey. The Blackwell's enjoy spending time with family and camping. This is Amy's first year of teaching, fulfilling a dream of hers since she was a child herself. She brings many years of experience and passion working with children including running her own in-home childcare. Amy is excited to add to her skills by continuing her Major in Early Childhood Education. She looks forward to watching the academic and spiritual growth of every child at Zion and all the joy that they bring!
Melanie grew up on a farm outside Manning. She now lives on an acreage south of Manning with her husband Josh and kids Brandon, Lydia, and Dylan. The Enenbachs are kept busy with the kid's sports and other activities. They have many chickens, goats, rabbits, cats, and a dog; many of which are 4H projects. Melanie's first passion was health care and she became a CMA, AAMA (Certified Medical Assistant) after high school. Melanie worked as a CMA for 15 years before deciding to stay home with her kids in 2020. She also has a home decor business she started in 2014. Melanie became the Assistant Teacher at Zion in 2022 and enjoys helping the kids grow emotionally and spiritually.
