Zion has a long tradition of excellence in our confirmation program. Beginning in the 5th grade confirmands take a two year tour of Scripture (and Luther's Small Catechism). In 7th and 8th grades confirmands go deeper into the catechism, the biblical narrative, and especially Christian apologetics and worldview. Confirmands are encouraged to ask questions as our pastors teach them to think biblically and logically about, well, everything.
Zion is also blessed with a tradition of excellence in music and singing. Every Wednesday, after a time of fellowship and before confirmation classes begin, confirmands gather to praise the Lord in song. In the fall they prepare for our annual Children's Christmas Program (which is top notch!). From winter into spring they enjoy a variety of other music.
